I redesigned the app because the original colors I used were not accessible and very jarring on the eyes. These colors are more muted and emit an air of luxury which is more aligned with what the user experiences when getting custom-made or custom-fit clothing from a tailor.

Tailor Me’d is a project that helps users find and book tailors that are tailormade just for them quickly and conveniently.

Detailed Communication System

The confirmation wasn’t detailed enough. Users wanted the confirmation to contain a summary of their appointment.

Users choose tailors based on the highest ratings, reviews, or recommendations from friends/family.

I added reviews section to the company profile page and highlighted the ratings for each company to help make the decision easier for users.

To address this, I designed a detailed confirmation summary to include the date, time, contact information, type of service booked, and other specific instructions for the appointment

Large icons and descriptions allow users with visual impairments or fine motor impairments to navigate the app easier

Based on user interviews I found that many people find and choose a tailor by word of mouth or recommendations from friends and family. Users would be likely to choose the tailor if their friend recommended them.

Who have a craft as well as fashion designers or customer designs because the process is very similar to tailors.

Due to the time constraints, I only had time for client/customer side of the application.

Feedback from mentors - preferred the new redesign colors over the original design

Multiple usability study participants asked when the app will be launched because they would love to use an app like this right now.

All participants wanted to communicate or have direct contact with the tailor before booking. Most users would also prefer to call the tailor to schedule.

I created a detailed communication system that allows users to both call and text the tailor to gain more information before booking an appointment and during the process.
